A little about me
After growing up in eastern North Carolina, I spent my last two years of high school at the North Carolina for Science and Mathematics. From there, I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. In addition, I hold a Masters of Science in Education with a concentration in Curriculum Design and Educational Technology. Currently, I serve as a Mentor for the North Carolina Digital Leader's Cohort, an initiative through the Friday Institute of North Carolina State University and am actively involved in growing digital and gifted learners through NCTies and NAGT.
In addition to serving as an educator, I am the wife of a high school administrator and the mom of two girls. Outside of school, you would most likely find me on my paddleboard, reading on my porch swing, taking photos at the beach, or working with sea turtles through NEST.
